Marbella guide
Marbella is known for beach clubs and the Golden Mile — but Benahavís and the Genal Valley are right behind it, and they hold some of the best canyoning and hiking on the coast.
Marbella's coastline gets the postcards, but the mountains directly inland — Benahavís, the Guadalmina river valley and the wider Genal Valley toward Ronda — are where the outdoor adventure actually happens. Most of it is reachable in well under an hour from central Marbella or San Pedro de Alcántara.
The Guadalmina river is the closest and easiest canyon to Marbella — near San Pedro de Alcántara, with natural pools, optional jumps and one short rappel. It's our most popular route for first-timers and families. See canyoning routes →
The Tajo de Ronda via ferrata is an easy pairing with a day trip to Ronda itself, and works well for guests who want a cabled climb without a long previous-experience requirement. See via ferrata routes →
Private, transfer-included hikes reach the pinsapo fir forest and hidden ravines around Sierra Bermeja, on the way toward Estepona. See hiking routes →
