Canyoning in Estepona

Waterfalls, natural slides and rappels through the canyons of the Genal Valley and Sierra Bermeja, a short drive from Estepona. Routes available for beginners and experienced adventurers, with certified local guides.

Why canyoning near Estepona

Estepona sits right where the coast meets the mountains, and the Genal Valley canyons — including Sima del Diablo — are the closest canyoning routes to town, roughly half an hour inland. Seasonal rivers here have carved narrow gorges through limestone and the rare red peridotite rock of Sierra Bermeja, creating natural pools, waterfalls and rock slides.

Every route is led by a certified local guide with full technical gear (wetsuit, helmet, harness). Routes are available for beginners and experienced adventurers alike, from a gentle first descent to a full day of committing rappels.
